My philosophy is that every single person needs an individualized approach in order to be their best self. Health and fitness comes in all shapes and forms, and it’s all about what makes you happy and healthy- mentally, physically, and spiritually. That’s what I am here for- to help you find the best plan for your life!
No metabolism is the same. No 2 bodies are the same. We all have different needs and desires, and it’s essential that your regimen matches your health needs, goals, and lifestyle. With knowledge in clinical disorders from Type 2 Diabetes, Fatty liver disease, Kidney Disease, to Autoimmune disorders like Celiac and Hashimotos, I make it my job to help you find the diet that will help you feel and be your best using an evidence based approach. I additionally have background knowledge in adrenal health, women’s health, gut disorders, and hormonal imbalances- all from my own research, coursework, and clinical practice.
In addition to individuality, my philosophy aims at uplifting your life through fitness and nutrition. I don’t want you just surviving- I want you THRIVING! About the Owner:
Hey- I’m Lacey Dunn! I am a Registered Dietitian, crazy cat lady, and NASM certified personal trainer with a Master’s degree in Nutrition (From the best university- Texas Women’s!). My passions include changing lives, helping others find their own food balance, praising God, Netflix, and of course- cats. I provide personalized nutrition coaching and online training through UpliftFit Nutrition, and am the owner of UpliftFit Nutrition Radio.
I strive to share my passions in fitness and nutrition to help others reach their goals in not only fitness, but life! I come from an active background, with participating in allstar and high school cheerleading up until my freshman year of college. Cheering at the University of Central Florida is how I first fell in love with the weight-training and nutrition. I was fascinated by how nutrition helped my performance and aided in my physical goals. It wasn’t until 2014 when I realized that my true calling was- nutrition. My goal as a dietitian is provide the tools that you need to achieve a healthy, and balanced diet while simultaneously helping you to grow and thrive in all aspects of you life.
Utilizing my own research and coursework, I have been able to transform my body and expand my knowledge on training and nutrition. The internet can be such a blessing for sharing information, but it can also spread false claims and create harm. My goal is to be a trusted source for you for the TRUTH- a non biased source for what the evidence really says. I myself follow a mostly whole foods based diet through flexible dieting. Though this is how I eat, I believe that it is my goal to help you find the best, and most sustainable approach for YOU! As we are all beautifully and wonderfully made unique. Food is fuel and I don’t believe in restricting foods unless medically necessary. Our diets should focus on helping us to be and feel our best- and that regimen is different for every single person.
In addition to being an online coach, trainer, and life-long learner, I am also an NPC Bikini Competitor and Contest prep coach who has placed in the top 10 nationally.
